Panorama Soccer senior Karli Kautzky and her younger sister Kailee outline how special it is to play with one another as well as under their father.
The Panthers Girls Soccer Team has a total of five pairs of sisters on the squad, with the Kautzky’s; Hailey and Hannah Hellman; Jamie and Taylor Fronapfel; Ines and Nerea Gimeno-Perez; and Morgan and Ashley Crees. For Karli and Kailee, their father Paul introduced them to the game at a young age, and it’s a sport they have stuck with ever since. Kailee, who is a freshman, explains that getting to play under her dad is a great experience.
“It’s just so special because he’s always telling me what I need to improve on, and helping me be the best that I can.”
Karli says playing alongside her younger sister brings out all the emotions.
“It’s definitely a unique experience getting to see her every day. It’s very frustrating at times, but it can be fun.”
Karli and Kailee both attend AC/GC High School in Guthrie Center, but play soccer for Panorama since there isn’t a team in Guthrie. Kailee is second for the Panthers with five goals scored, as Karli has tallied two on the season so far. Panorama is 3-1 overall and will be traveling to Van Meter to face the Bulldogs this afternoon at 4:30pm.
