The Dallas County Soil and Water Conservation District invites area residents to attend a Mother’s Day plant sale this weekend.

The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Dallas County SWCD Office, 1918 Greene Street, in Adel. 

The local district says the event is an opportunity to find beautiful plants while contributing to a great cause. Proceeds from the sale will go towards outreach programs, community education initiatives along with school grants and scholarships.

The district adds that support from residents helps the group make a difference in their community.
