
The Panorama Girls Soccer Team played their 13th game on Monday versus third-ranked in Class 1A Des Moines Christian in Panora, losing their second contest 5-0.
Both teams came into the match with identical records, as the Panthers were 11-1 on the season, while the Lions were sitting at 10-2-1. Des Moines Christian got off to a good start, scoring four goals in the first half to storm to a 4-0 advantage at the break. The Lions managed to tally one final goal in the second half to secure a 5-0 victory.
The loss breaks Panorama’s seven game winning streak, as they suffer their second defeat of the season, falling to 11-2, while Des Moines Christian improves to 11-2-1 overall. The Panthers other loss is to Treynor, who is ranked fifth in Class 1A.
